What is a 2o3 group?

2o3 stands for two or three people and refers to the words of Jesus in Matt 18:19, 20 “Truly I tell you, if two of you on earth agree about any matter that you pray for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there among them.”

We want to see every believer in the Austin region start a 2o3 group. This group consists of 2 or 3 people or maybe more who are united together in prayer for the area or mountain where they serve. The purpose of their gathering is to connect and discuss how their mountain can be infused with faith. Discuss how to bring righteousness (right relationship with God) and justice (fair rules and leadership) in the place where you work or live. Recognize the authority you have before God because you live or work in that place.

A 2o3 group can meet for 30-60 minutes per week at work or a park or a coffee shop or wherever they choose. It is best to have a song (see possible options in Resources) to bring the presence of God into your time together. Also we recommend reading one or more Scriptures to lead your discussion. Share a story of encouragement and also the needs that you see in the people or organization. Pray together in Jesus name and ask boldly. Shut the doors to the enemy so that he will not operate in deception, oppression, dishonesty, immorality, etc. Encourage and support each other but please do not make the 2o3 group all about you and your problems. Enjoy the time and each other!

What is the 2o3 Alliance?

We will want to connect and perhaps even gather together those who have a 2o3 group.

Together we form an alliance of people in the Austin region who are praying with authority in the places where we work and live. We will share stories and ideas and disappointments from our groups. We want to learn from each other and our experiences. There will be a Facebook group for members who have things to share. But of course, we will want to get together over coffee or a glass of wine and talk about what God is doing in our areas.

Think about what Austin would look like if there were 1000 2o3 groups praying and connecting all over our region!!
